Lisa Bentson, Del Mar: Last year while visiting the Mission Hills Leads Club Chapter I met Peter Robinson, the owner of "Movin Metal". Peter’s business is to buy and sell cars for busy professionals.
I had tried a few times to sell my Toyota Highlander by putting ads in the paper and online. My results were pretty much zero.
Peter said that he would be happy to sell it and assist with the purchase of a Prius.
It was such a relief to know my car was on the market and I did not have to deal with any of the callers, the negotiating, etc., etc. Buying and selling a car ranks below going to the Dentist, in my world.
Fast forward. Peter scheduled an appointment with me and the buyer at the local AAA office. The process took less than 30 minutes and best of all; I received an excellent price for the car. And as a testament to his level of Customer Care, he drove me home!
The very next day we met at the Toyota Dealership. I test drove my new car, spent approximately 20 minutes with the Salesman and 15 minutes in Finance. The latter was a shock, I assumed I would have to sit in the cubicle and be harassed endlessly. Quite the opposite, I was treated respectfully and efficiently.
The whole process flowed beautifully. The time I saved is priceless and the money saved makes his fee insignificant.

Buying a car at the dealer is always a pain because of all the sales people and then once you settle on the price, they try to sell you every possible warranty, etc. It was nice not having to deal with all that with you. I really liked being able to sell my car through you. I hate having to deal with trying to sell it myself, people not showing up, waiting around, etc. It was nice to just drop it off at your place and get a call when it was sold and still feel like I got a good amount of money for my car.
